Steaming Ahead with Green Methanol

Robust capital investment from SWEN Capital Partners has expedited green fuels producer ETFuels on the course to meet its ambitious 2030 target. Aiming for a staggering production of 1.4 million tonnes of green methanol tailored for the shipping industry and an array of other markets, ETFuels has seen its velocity accelerate, thanks to the timely funding.

A Powerful Alliance for a Greener Future

The injection of capital into ETFuels springs from the SWEN Impact Fund for Transition 2, a prolific European impact strategy dedicated to renewable gas infrastructure meticulously managed by SWEN Capital Partners. As per recent reports, the portfolio of SWEN Capital Partners is abundantly endowed with EUR 7.8bn under management.

The Winning Combination for Reduced Emissions

ETFuels ingeniously merges extensive renewable energy farms with green fuel production facilities. This stellar blend allows the groundbreaking company to supply green fuels to its shipping clientele at a competitive cost while promoting sustained sustainability. Furthermore, it promises a staggering 91% decline in emissions in contrast to heavy fuel oil.

Embracing the Green Wave

“Given the plummeting costs of carbon capture and renewables, plus the decreasing expenses of electrolyzers, ETFuels is set to play an instrumental role in decarbonizing the shipping sector,” said Lara Naqushbandi, the visionary CEO of ETFuels, adding that the unwavering support of SWIFT 2, which has pioneered green molecule investment opportunities since 2019, is invaluable.

Leading the Pan-Atlantic Green Fuels Production

This investment further solidifies ETFuels’ position as a preeminent producer of green fuels across the Pan-Atlantic. As it stands, ETFuels is actively accepting pre-orders for green methanol. “Our belief is firmly anchored in the hyper-scale energy transition: it’s time to transition from mere discourse and pilots to solid commercial decarbonization of heavy industries, with a considerable environmental impact. ETFuels is thrilled to acquiesce to the manifest demand signals from the shipping industry for green methanol,” Naqushbandi further stated.
