AET Unveils Cutting-Edge LNG Dual-fuel VLCC

AET, a member of the MISC Group, recently held a naming ceremony in Singapore for its newest liquefied natural gas dual-fuel very large crude carrier, Eagle Veracruz. The ceremony, presided over by Singapore's Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Grace Fu, marked the vessel's official naming and highlighted its contribution to greener maritime practices. The Eagle Veracruz is part of a long-term charter agreement with Shell Tankers Private Limited and represents a significant milestone for the Singapore Ship Registry.

AET, a member of the esteemed MISC Group, recently made waves in the maritime industry with an extravagant naming ceremony in Singapore for its cutting-edge liquefied natural gas dual-fuel very large crude carrier, the Eagle Veracruz. The 300,000 deadweight tonnage tanker proudly bears the Singapore flag and was christened by none other than the distinguished Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Grace Fu. Minister Fu, who also holds the esteemed title of Lady Sponsor of the vessel, graced the ceremony with her presence, symbolizing the significance of the event.

Amidst an air of prestige and innovation, the PSA Keppel Terminal served as the perfect backdrop for the ceremony, witnessing the convergence of top-tier officials including Teo Eng Dih, Chief Executive of Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, and senior dignitaries from MSE, Ministry of Transport, MPA, and PSA. The presence of these esteemed individuals underscores the industry’s recognition of the Eagle Veracruz as a game-changer in the realm of maritime sustainability.

The Eagle Veracruz stands as the triumphant culmination of AET’s agreement with Shell Tankers Private Limited, marking the third and final tanker delivered on long-term charter. Its predecessors, the Eagle Vellore and Eagle Ventura, constructed by Hanwha Ocean and delivered in 2023, paved the way for the Eagle Veracruz to make its grand entrance onto the maritime stage.
