This entailed acquiring the esteemed ISCC EU endorsement, as announced on their website in a recent release.

Certifying Sustainability

Having the ISCC’s seal of approval ensures that Baseblue’s biofuels comply with the highest environmental standards. It provides a solid guarantee for its biofuel offerings, emphasizing the firm’s commitment to sustainability. As a result, this certification was suggested by leading authorities, including Singapore’s Maritime Port Authority (MPA), as a prerequisite for entities purchasing biofuel bunkers.

ISCC EU Certification: Globally Recognized Gold Standard

“The ISCC EU has gained international respect and acceptance from eminent bodies such as the European Commission and the United Kingdom,” Baseblue stated in its release. “Furthermore, it meets the renewable transport fuel obligation criteria set by the UK.”

The ISCC EU certification’s recognition and influence extend beyond Europe, taking root in other parts of the world. It is endorsed under the Japanese government’s biofuel mandate and complies with Queensland, Australia’s Liquid Fuel Supply Regulation.

“These recognitions underscore ISCC EU’s credibility on a global level and establish it as a robust and respected validation scheme. The certification validates the sustainable and responsible production and supply of biofuels,” the company further explained in the statement.
